1. During my first consultation, am I required to sign the contract and "seal the deal" at that time?
No. At SN DJ Entertainment, we know the importance of choosing just the right DJ service for your event, which is why we offer our free no obligation consultation prior to you ever booking us. Often times we will even have clients who like what they hear and wish to "seal the deal" prior to the first consultation, and you are welcome to do that. However, the purpose of the first meeting is for you to meet our program director and ask any questions you may have. We will go over everything SN DJ Entertainment has to offer, then you may take some time to talk it over with your fiance and together you decide if we are the right DJ service for you. Unlike some DJ services in Pensacola, we will never pressure you into signing a contract and making everything official at the first meeting. This is a big decision, and we want to make sure you feel comfortable with the DJ service you choose.
2. When will the DJ arrive at the reception site?
We always arrive a minimum of 60 to 90 minutes prior to the contracted start time. We like to have our equipment set up and sound checks performed and completed at least 30 to 40 minutes before your guests arrive.
3. Does SN DJ Entertainment perform music for the actual wedding ceremony, or is your specialty strictly wedding receptions?
Many times the bride and groom have the ceremony and reception at the same location, and we do perform music for the wedding ceremony. We carry a wide range of ceremony music including the traditional wedding march. Our normal wedding hourly rates apply, and you will never be charged an extra fee if we perform for your ceremony as well.
4. Will the DJ be eating dinner with us?
Since we pride ourselves on being professional, we will never eat unless you specifically invite us to do so. Our policy normally calls for the DJ to eat prior to arriving at the event.
5. What kind of light show does SN DJ Entertainment bring along to events?
Our light show features a set of Derby lights, pictured on the left, which are very similar to disco lights and are very popular with fast dances, a set of Roto lights, which is a slow turning set of spot lights and it gives the same effect as a mirror ball for slow dances, a superstrobe, which is very popular with the younger crowd, our fog machine which adds extra enhancement and excitement to our light show, and 8 Par-38 colored spotlights which are synchronized to the music with 16 different random chase patterns. Plus we're adding even more lighting accessories all the time.
6. During the reception, how many times will the DJ have to stop the music to take a break?
Never. At SN DJ Entertainment, we never stop the music unless you ask us to (like for special announcements). Your DJ will not stop the music to take any breaks. Once we start the music, we don't stop until the end of the reception.
7. Are we allowed to bring our own CD’s from home and have SN DJ play them on their sound system?
Yes. At SN DJ Entertainment, we realize this is your big day and we want to make sure we play only the music you wish to have played. Prior to your wedding, you will receive a complete list of our music library, and we will do our best to add songs that you want if we don’t currently have them in stock. If for some reason we are unable to get the particular songs and you have them on CD, or if you think of a song you would like played at your reception and you have it on CD, feel free to bring it up to the table and we will play it. If your guests come up with CD’s they want played, we will only play those if we get approval from you.
8. Does SN DJ Entertainment carry insurance?
Yes. We carry full liability insurance from Nuccio and Associates, which insures more mobile DJ’s than any other company in the United States.
9. We’re having so much fun and our guests are having fun as well. Can SN DJ Entertainment stay longer than the contracted time?
Yes. Unless we are giving you a special in which we inform you that you are receiving unlimited time, we will stay longer at the overtime rate of $75 an hour.
10. Do you offer any line dances or audience participation dances?
Do we ever! We have a wide variety of specialty dances for people of all ages so that we can get everyone involved and out on the dance floor. “The Macarena”, “Cha Cha Slide”, “Electric Slide” and “The Chicken Dance” are among our top requested favorites at wedding receptions. Be sure to check out some of the other favorite requested group and line dances listed on our Dances page.
